Kathleen (Cass) Cronan: Executive Director
Cass has extensive experience working with Denver’s nonprofit community, specifically organizations serving homeless and low-income populations, both as a volunteer and in various leadership roles. She has practiced law for more than 30 years in the Denver area.



Kelly Shinn, MSW: Garden and Program Director
Kelly served as a Program Associate in 2011 while earning her Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Denver. After working with Arapahoe County Department of Social Services, she returned in 2013 to direct the Workshop Program. She has experience in gardens, farms, and CSA’s, and is an advocate for food access and food justice.


Carolyn Thornton: Community Engagement Director
Carolyn, a Baltimore native, received a Bachelors of Science degree, focused on Art Education and Visual Communications from Towson University in Maryland.  She coordinates sales, the EarthLinks’ Volunteer Program, online and print outreach, and community events.




Ona Crow, MSW: Development Director
Ona received a Bachelors in Psychology from New Mexico State University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Denver, focusing on Conservation Social Work on a Community Level, and she also has a certificate in Animal Assisted Social Work. She brings a passion for utilizing the human-nature bond in empowerment work.



marynells-copyMary Nelle Gage, SL: Marketing Coordinator
Mary Nelle is a Sister of Loretto who joined us in 2003. Originally from Texas, and a graduate of Loretto Heights, she brings unmatched energy and enthusiasm to EarthLinks, and can be found staffing any number of our booths at festivals where we sell products from the EarthLinks Workshop Program.



Laura Schneiter: Program Assistant Laura
A Colorado native and graduated from CU Denver with a Bachelors in Psychology and a minor in Environmental Science. She has a passion for studying humans relationships to their environment and ways to learn skills to enhance community resilience. She recently graduated from a national volunteer program called AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps where she traveled to various communities and learned skills in trail building, construction, gardening and environmental restoration. When she is not woodworking in the EarthLinks garage, she enjoys hiking, making jewelry, playing with dogs and eating pizza.


Kalyn Flierl: Administrative Assistant
Kalyn is a Colorado native who graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, NE with her Bachelors in Social Work. She just recently completed a year of post graduate service work with Colorado Vincentian Volunteers and is excited to join the EarthLinks family. She is passionate about serving others and building sustainable communities. She loves to hike, run, go to concerts, and cook healthy vegetarian meals.


Emilee Martell: Urban Servant Corps Volunteer
Emilee Martell is a Wisconsin native, here in Denver for the first time as an Urban Servant Corps member. She graduated from St. Olaf College in Minnesota with degrees in English and Environmental Studies, and is passionate about sustainability, social justice, and forging deeper connections to the natural world. At EarthLinks, her favorite activity is beekeeping, and in her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, gardening, hiking, and singing very loudly while cooking.


Erin MussmanGSSW Grad Student Intern
Erin is a graduate student at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work. Her concentration is in Sustainable Development and Global Practice, and her strong belief in the healing power of nature and community as well as her love for the arts is what brought her to EarthLinks. In her free time, Erin enjoys snowboarding, hiking, painting and traveling.


Mariana DiazGSSW Grad Student Intern
Mariana, a Florida native, is currently pursuing her Masters of Social Work at the University of Denver. As an intern at Earthlinks Mariana assists in running the workshop program, as well as connecting participants with resources in the community. She is dedicated to empowering others, and creating connections. She also enjoys a really good margarita pizza, a hot cup of tea, and a good book, not necessarily at the same time or in that order.


Kristi Allen: GSSW Grad Student Intern
Kristi is a graduate student at The University of Denver, Graduate School of Social Work, focusing on sustainable development  and Animal Assisted Therapy. Her passion for sustainable agriculture, conservation, and working with homeless individuals led her to Earthlinks. In her free time, Kristi enjoys riding her bike, playing music, and hiking. At the end of her year at Earthlinks, Kristi will return to her 5 acre farmette in rural Pennsylvania where she and her husband focus on growing native plants.


Ryan Mills: Americorps VISTA Volunteer
A Colorado native, Ryan is an Americorps Vista helping to work on the media side of EarthLinks by helping update and maintain the website among other technology driven goals. Ryan graduated from Metro State University with a BA in English-writing and a minor in Digital Media-Content Design.



Amylyn Thayer: Americorps VISTA Volunteer
Amylyn, native-ish to Colorado, is an AmeriCorps VISTA Member at EarthLinks after graduating from Regis University with a BA in Environmental Studies and minors in Psychology and Community Food Systems. She is excited to be back at EarthLinks after being a summer intern through Regis’ Romero House in 2015. She is passionate about gardening, sustainability, food justice, and conservation and in her spare time she enjoys hiking, swing dancing, reading, and gardening.
