6th Annual Holiday Open House & Sale Every December, we turn the EarthLinks workshop and offices into a winter wonderland of Earth-friendly gifts at the Annual Holiday Open House & Sale! My name is Ruth, and I know first hand that homelessness can happen to anyone. It was 1984 when I stepped off the plane in Denver. I looked up and was shocked to see how much open sky there was. It was a very freeing change of scenery for me, coming from a small town in Alabama. Those tall southern trees tower over everything, and the sky gets shaded out. I love Colorado for its change of seasons, but my love for the outdoors stems from my childhood memories of those Alabama forests. It amazes me how many parks there are in Denver.
