It has been months since we planted our first seeds in February for our beautiful state flower, the Columbine. Columbine seeds require stratification, a process of putting the seeds in the fridge at night and bringing them back out into the light during the day. Every morning, we loving brought the seeds into the light, and every evening, put them back into the cold they love. We were rewarded with high germination rates, and lots of baby columbines to care for. Shortly after we planted the columbines, we planted violas, pansies, bell peppers, and kale. Huge thanks to everyone who came to the EarthLinks Community Links Handmade Homemade Market this past Saturday, July 14th! We had such a wonderful time meeting lots of new people, seeing all the creativity of our community, and sharing the beauty of our EarthLinks community. Our sales at the market were pretty stellar, and we had many new folks sign up to get involved.
