Kathleen (Cass) Cronan: Executive Director
Cass has extensive experience working with Denver’s nonprofit community, specifically organizations serving homeless and low-income populations, both as a volunteer and in various leadership roles. She has practiced law for more than 30 years in the Denver area.



Kelly Shinn, MSW: Garden and Program Director
Kelly served as a Program Associate in 2011 while earning her Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Denver. After working with Arapahoe County Department of Social Services, she returned in 2013 to direct the Workshop Program. She has experience in gardens, farms, and CSA’s, and is an advocate for food access and food justice.


Carolyn Thornton: Community Engagement Director
Carolyn, a Baltimore native, received a Bachelors of Science degree, focused on Art Education and Visual Communications from Towson University in Maryland.  She coordinates sales, the EarthLinks’ Volunteer Program, online and print outreach, and community events.

Mary Nelle is a Sister of Loretto who joined us in 2003. Originally from Texas, and a graduate of Loretto Heights, she brings unmatched energy and enthusiasm to EarthLinks, and can be found staffing any number of our booths at festivals where we sell products from the EarthLinks Workshop Program.



Laura Schneiter: Program Assistant Laura
A Colorado native and graduated from CU Denver with a Bachelors in Psychology and a minor in Environmental Science. She has a passion for studying humans relationships to their environment and ways to learn skills to enhance community resilience. She recently graduated from a national volunteer program called AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps where she traveled to various communities and learned skills in trail building, construction, gardening and environmental restoration. When she is not woodworking in the EarthLinks garage, she enjoys hiking, making jewelry, playing with dogs and eating pizza.


Jay Reszka: Program Assistant

Wisconsin born and raised, Jay has a Master’s of Divinity from Notre Dame and has spent his entire working life employed by human service non-profit organizations; much of this time with several metro Denver agencies or churches working with lower income populations.  Most recently, he was the Case Manager for a small homeless shelter in Thornton, CO.  His passion is helping  marginalized and isolated individuals re-discover their unique gifts and talents and regain their place in community.



Daneel (Dee) Arias: Administrative Assistant
Born and raised in New York, Daneel graduated from SUNY Purchase College with a bachelor’s degree in Arts Management and Administration. Daneel has a passion for fundraising as he gets the opportunity to spread awareness of the important work that non-profits do for their communities. The open community and positive support that is provided at EarthLinks is why Daneel loves being a part of the team.  Feel free to ask Daneel about his favorite movies, shows, and bands.


Josh Menke:  Urban Servant Corp, Volunteer
Josh is passionate about the environment, nonviolent social activism, local food, and economic justice. He is from California, and an alumnus of Xavier University in Cincinnati, where he spent the last four years. He came to EarthLinks because he wanted a place where he could do work that would contribute to a community and sustain the earth. ” I feel like EarthLinks does that well”. Josh’s  primary responsibilities at EarthLinks include assisting with workshop, working in the garden, and anything else he can do to pitch in! His favorite plant right now is the Moon flower vine in the front garden. He loves every chance he can, to work outdoors.



Kelly Ritchey: University of Denver, MSW
Kelly Ritchey is currently working toward her Master of Social Work at the University of Denver. She received a BA in cultural anthropology from the Ohio State University, where she focused on socio-economics and had the opportunity to conduct research, living with and interviewing nomadic cattle herders, in Cameroon for three months. The resulting work was published in the Journal for Modern African Studies, received an honorable mention for the Schneider Prize from the Society for Economic Anthropology, and she presented it at the symposium for the Society for Applied Anthropology. Her primary areas of interest include: mass incarceration, therapeutic processes for violent offenders, and mental health.


Rebecca Cuntala: Americorps VISTA Volunteer
Rebecca, a New Jersey native, is here as an AmeriCorps VISTA helping EarthLinks to expand and improve on various aspects of marketing, fundraising and communications. She graduated from Binghamton University with a BA in Anthropological Perspectives. She is interested in studying human communities and human relationships, especially as they relate to sustainability and the environment.
