Special Workshops

Our fabulous volunteer, Clara, leading a canning workshop.

In addition to our main Workshop Program, in which participants learn organic gardening and craft production skills, we offer special workshops from time to time for our participant community. We are lucky to have many talented volunteers who come in to lead these workshops. Canning, food preparation, writing, housing, and self-defense workshops are an example of the enrichment programs available to our participants. These workshops build community among participants and volunteers, as well as teaching “homesteading” skills for more sustainable lifestyles.

Do you have a skill to share?

Whether you’re an expert on a particular style of craft work, creative ways to live a simpler life, new skills for the garden and kitchen, or something else entirely, we’d love you to come lead a special workshop at EarthLinks! Check out the Volunteer page to download our Volunteer Application, and contact us to see if your workshop is a good fit for our community.
