Facial Mask

EarthLinks’ powdered face mask is great for toning and revitalizing skin! The base formula includes oatmeal, raspberry, green tea, and vitamin c powders. Oatmeal helps to soothe itchy, dry and irritated skin. Ground oatmeal can also work as an exfoliant, sloughing away dirt, oil, and dead skin cells. Green tea powder helps to reduce redness and irritation. Raspberry powder is full of antioxidants, such as anthocyanins and polyphenols. It can help with inflammation and hyperpigmentation. It is good for nourishing and revitalizing the skin after a long day out or for a pampered day in! Finally, Vitamin C is an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory nutrient, known to improve skin tone and texture, hydrate the skin, and reduce signs of skin damage and aging.

This mask is great because it is highly customizable. Different skin types have different skin care needs, and with this powdered mask, you can add specific ingredients to benefit your skin type. For example, if you have dry skin, you can mix the powder with oils or honey for extra moisture. For oily skin, try tea or yogurt.

You can also make the mask as thick or as thin as you want, it all depends on your preference. If you want to use your mask as an exfoliator, you can add a little less liquid and use the fine-milled powder as a gentle physical exfoliant. Additionally, because the ingredients are dried, they’re longer lasting and need fewer preservatives to keep them fresh.

Use after washing with the facial soap bar. Mix 2 tsp powder with 1 tsp liquid of choice (water, tea, yogurt, honey, etc.). Add more/less liquid to change the texture of the mask if desired. Apply to clean face and neck, avoiding eyes. Rinse after 10-15 minutes. Pat dry and apply toner or moisturizer. Best if used about 1-3 times per week.
